It’s a usually place where Spiderman, a Powerpuff Girls, a Joker and hordes of barbarous zombies can safely be in a same room together.

Tens of thousands of comic book fans, dressed immaculately as their favourite characters, descended on London for a initial day of MCM Comic Con today.

The bi-annual eventuality has grown each year given it took off in a 2000s and some-more than 130,000 are approaching to travel by a doors of a Excel centre in easterly London over a weekend.

Comic Con orator Gary Burns believes a three-day eventuality would ‘eclipse’ a world-famous United States Comic Cons if it ran longer, though that could detract from a sorcery of a UK convention.

He told MailOnline: ‘We get people from all over Europe and you’ll unequivocally hear some north American accents. People like a conventions over here.

‘The cosplay side is some-more different here, and that doesn’t unequivocally interfuse a US marketplace that much. Over there, it’s mostly only DC and Marvel characters.’
